Onegai-shimasu Hanshi, Kyoshi, Denshi, Shihan, Sensei, and Fellow Deshi,
Willpower or self-discipline is important to us on and off the deck and is something that we can develop through our karate practice. Many aspects of training can strength us in this way. For example, when we work through a variety of physical challenges on the deck - such as, when we get lower and stay lower in stances or when we work to our maximum speed and power when we already feel exhausted - we build ourselves up in this way. We cannot expect to succeed every time we challenge our willpower, but we can hope to improve it over time through diligently working to achieve maximum self-discipline as we Keep Training.
Domo arigato gozaimasu to all,
